Magnetic Therapy

Magnetic therapy is one of the main methods of treatment in physiotherapy. Its basic form – the use of a stationary magnetic field, i.e. a permanent magnet – has been used for centuries as a natural healing source. However, only the advances in electronic engineering and the production of powerful switching components have made it possible to quickly develop low-frequency pulsed magnetic therapy equipment, whose effects are several times greater than those of a stationary magnetic field. Recent studies show that treatment using pulsed electromagnetic fields is 100 times more effective than the application of a static magnetic field. For this reason, pulsed magnetic therapy has become one of the most common methods of physiotherapy today. Scientific evidence suggests that in some disorders (such as chronic pain in degenerative joint diseases), this method has been successful as a long-term treatment, while other treatments have failed.

To apply the electromagnetic field to the patient's body, it is possible to use solenoids with diameters of 30 and 70 centimeters, as well as the ability to use a single-disc applicator to apply localized electromagnetic fields.
